What's been going on at our humble abode......

Kenners has been giving herself yogurt baths....

....and getting into a bag of tortillas and munching on them (after she's ripped her ponytails out again, of course).....

....yesterday she grabbed a whole tub of dry rolled oats and dumped it all over the apartment--including little piles on the couch cushions, bookshelf, little piles on the floor of every room, and even a little pile on Lila's tummy.  Very sadly, there is no photographic proof for this colossal mess as the camera was in the car and the car was with Garrett.....but trust me, it was the mother of all messes!

I honestly try to keep our apartment above pig-sty status and try to keep my toddler somewhat clean, out of trouble, and well-groomed.
It doesn't seem to happen very often these days.
I guess I could try harder,
but I've been spending a lot of time cuddling this little angel:

and this little angel:

and I love to watch them cuddle each other:

....and I just figure that sometimes the dishes, laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, bathrooms, showering, etc can just wait.

I think these words say it best:

Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She’s up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo
The shopping’s not done and there’s nothing for stew
And out in the yard there’s a hullabaloo
But I’m playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Aren’t her eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullaby, rockaby lullaby loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
For children grow up as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I’m rocking my babies and babies don’t keep.
