Yesterday I was looking through all the pictures we've taken in the past year or so and noticed that I had a hard time finding a picture of just me and Garrett.
I finally came upon this, the last picture taken of just the two of us:
at the beginning of August.
Over five months ago.
Two thoughts came to mind:
1) We really need to get some family photos taken soon--and try to get a decent picture of the two of us where we aren't running through water fountains.
2) Garrett and I definitely do not spend enough (or much at all) time alone together.
Embarrassingly enough, the last date we've been on was not too long after the above photo was taken.
In my defense, pregnancy sickness has made doing anything outside of the home a little difficult, let alone going to a smelly restaurant or smelly movie theatre. Smooching and snuggling is also somewhat of a challenge when all you want to do is barf.
Yes, pregnancy has been hard on romance in the past few months.
However, I'm starting to feel somewhat human and alive again, so no more excuses: it is time to go on some long overdue dates!
My man is so wonderful that he found babysitters for last night AND for this afternoon!!
Two dates in one weekend!?
So last night we went to the temple and this afternoon Garrett and I are going on an adventure and trying out cross-country skiing for the first time.
After a wonderful evening of spiritual renewal with my sweetheart, I am so ready for a fun afternoon today.
And just maybe I'll remember to bring my camera so we can add another rare "just the two of us" picture to our digital family photo collection.
Because we actually really love each other...... :)
