....getting up at 5am to go to the airport (to fly back home from vacation) after a long sleepless night with a teething baby,
having to wake up said teething baby to go to the airport,
getting dropped off at the airport by a kind and generous family member,
getting up to the ticket counter with luggage and crying baby in tow,
and being kindly told that your flight does not leave until tomorrow.
Luckily, this afforded us one more day of vacation fun with Grandma Christensen, my brother Joey, and my sister Hanna.
We played one more round of late-night Nerts and laughed to the point of nearly peeing our pants (oh wait, that was probably just me).
My extreme exhaustion of the day also caused me to cave and consume my first sugar and gluten in 3 weeks (Glade's burger and a Hawaiian shave ice, thank-you-very-much!), and for the rest of the day, I was not-so-awesomely reminded why I have been avoiding such foods lately....
....further awesomeness is a 3 hour layover on our way home the next day that saw Kenners walking the entire time,
introducing herself to everyone she saw by invading their personal bubble and chirping "hi!" through her binkie,
and running up to every little boy to give them a hug and pat them on the back.
Yes, I had the child who made even the grumpy, unimpressed business man eventually break into a chuckle.
Who can resist a chubby-cheeked cherub babbling in what sounds like baby-Japanese-talk!?
It totally made up for the 5 Kenners meltdowns we experienced on our following flight.
Totally!
Don't you just love how she looks like the chubbiest gal on the planet here?? So deliciously squishy!
