Adventures in Potty-training

Potty-training has been my biggest dread in parenting a toddler.
I don't know why.
I deal with my fair share of every bodily fluid imaginable in my profession, so it's not like dealing with poopy pants and pee puddles on the floor necessarily bothers me.
Maybe it's just because I've never potty-trained anymore before and have no clue what I'm doing?
You'd think I would read up on the "how to potty-train" books, but I've never found the time, and this week I happened to have 3 wonderful days off in a row.  Perfect time to stay home and do this potty-training thing, right!?

I expected to report on what a disaster it turned out to be.
Poop smeared everywhere.  Pee everywhere except for in the potty.
But,
it hasn't been so bad!
Only one real accident so far.  I'm sure there will be a few more, and that's okay, but I'm a little amazed at how fast Kenners caught on.
And she is sooooo proud of herself!
Everytime she's gone in the potty and I clap my hands and tell her how proud I am of her, she squeals, "You're welcome, Mom!"
The other day I had to go to the bathroom and she decided to sit beside me on her potty.  Once I was finished, she jumped up and down, clapping and shouting, "You did it, Mom!  I so proud of you!"
That girl makes everything more fun.
Even potty training.

SO glad it's gone so well!! I love following your experiences with Kennady! They've taught me: #1 that I will be letting Sullivan keep his binkie until he is 10, :) and #2, I guess I will go ahead and potty train him someday! Phew! :)
