Last weekend, Garrett and I watched every routine of the Olypmics Men's Figure Skating on fast forward.
There is a certain little old lady I care for who has an "Eeyore personality". Whenever I help dress her or shower her or even just put her shoes on, this is her slow, morose response: "Stop it! I didn't do anything to you. I don't understand why you just always want to kill me. So just leave me alone so I can die. I'm just going to die now, okay?"
At church last Sunday, we sat next to Kenadie's two year old little boyfriend (she has several these days) Jaden, who would spontaneously shout out, "Hi, Ten-die (Kenadie)", and "Oh, so cute!" and "Tank you so muts!"
I met my sister at Costco last week, who bought ice cream for the kids afterwards. She gave Kenners a little taste, who then spent the next 5 minutes holding her mouth open like a baby bird waiting for another bite.
While babysitting my sister's kids, my niece Kylee (4) was playing with her sister Brooke (1) and with the Kenners. She put a princess crown on Kenadie and said, "Oh princess Kenners, I must save you from the ugly Brookie who has a gappy gappis!" (Cute little Brooke is like her aunt Holly and has a gap between her top front teeth. My dad always called me "Gappy-Gippus" growing up. Precious.)
A few nights ago, Kenadie kept creating bubbles in the tub with her toots.
....these are all things that have made me giggle (or straight-up laugh) in the past week. They have made routine or mundane days suddenly become awesome.
And now the "Laughing Song" from Mary Poppins is playing in my head....
