Katie Renee

I didn't really get the chance to write a little tribute to my sister Katie on her birthday, July 1st, so sorry Kates! But I'm getting around to it right now. :)

Katie and I were BEST friends growing up, not so much in high school, and have been super close since she left home for college. We haven't lived within 1500 miles of each other since we were both in high school, so I have felt so blessed and had so much fun living close to my sister this last year in Minnesota. It has really been a blast. Garrett and I are moving bout 15-20 miles away this fall, and I'm seriously bummed and don't know what I'll do without my sister living just down the road. :( So I'll just have to make the 20 mile trip out at least 3-4 times a week to keep from going through withdrawals from Katie and her cute kids. I LOVE you guys!

Although we have such different personalities, Katie and I still have a lot in common that makes hanging out with each other so much fun. We enjoy reading good books, have tried our hand out at gardening together this summer, have a serious addiction to So You Think You Can Dance, highly enjoy Sonic drinks, and could talk on the phone to each other for forever about anything and everything.

My sister is an amazing mom and I have so much to learn from her (and will definitely be soliciting some advice now that Kenadie is here!). She is an amazing person. She manages to have four young kids, still work out and train for half marathons, is dedicated to her calling in the Young Women's presidency, and still manages to look amazing after it all.

She is also an amazing sister. She was by my side the whole time that I was in labor last week with Kenadie. Her words of encouragement were the ones that I remember hearing the most while I was pushing and seriously thought I couldn't do it anymore. Thanks so much for being there for me Katie. You'll never know how much it meant to me and what a difference it made to have you with me. :) So Happy, Happy Birthday, Katie Renee. I love you with all my heart. I love being sisters and love even more that we can be such good friends.
