Baby Brooke, Babysitting, and more San Diego

My sister had her little baby girl Friday morning and named her Brooke Renee. She is a doll, and as soon as I get some more pictures, I'll post them, but here's a shot of the little papoose. She's 6 lbs 14 oz and 18 1/2 inches long with a lot of dark hair. Precious!

So with Katie and Ryan at the hospital, I've been watching Caden and the twins over the weekend. Friday was spent at Katie's house and then Friday evening I took the kids up to meet their baby sister.
On Saturday, I brought the kids over to our apartment for movies and a macaroni and cheese picnic on the awesome jean quilt made by Grannie Oberg. The kids felt so spoiled to be able to eat lunch in front of the TV. And then I spoiled them even more with some yummy pudding cookies and ice cream. I know that the diet of junk food I provided suggests I need some mommy lessons, but you have to spoil the niece and nephews every now and then, right? I only wish I lived close to ALL my nieces and nephews, and then I would spoil them as well! So to Caleb, Ava, Alani, Maile, Kanani, Ethan and Lanie: your auntie Holly misses you!

Here's a summation of my Saturday: the kids watching Enchanted and eating cookies and ice cream. Kylee is so cute in the background, carefully examining her dessert before each bite.

And here are some belated pictures from San Diego.
One from the temple:

And finally, the Chargers. The Christensens are DIE HARD Chargers fans. For example, in the above picture of Katie's kids, notice the Chargers jersey and quilt in the background. I think every family has a Chargers quilt. Needless to say, we spend a lot of the fall and winter watching football and game time gets loud and intense in the Christensen households.

Here are some pictures from watching the Chargers vs the Broncos a few days after Christmas. It was a sweet victory.
Tyler is possibly the biggest fan of them all:

And this picture is classic! Both Claire and I get really nervous when the game gets tight and big plays are being made. I think she's hiding under the blanket in this one. I love you, Claire!
