San Diego Vacation: The Happiest Place on Earth

After nearly a week of being sick on our San Diego vacation,
we were running out of time to have fun before Garrett had to go back home.
So as soon as Kenadie and Lila were no longer puking, we headed to Disneyland for a few days of fun.
I still felt awful, but was determined that we didn't save our pennies for nearly two years just to sit at Grandma's house and stare at the sunshine out the window!

As soon as we got to the front gates of Disneyland, we were given a tender little mercy: a father with his two girls somehow had three extra park hopper passes (tickets for both Disneyland and California Adventure Park) that he wanted to get rid of--just the number of tickets that we needed!  And here's the kicker: he just gave them to us and refused to let us reimburse him or pay him for the tickets.  Seriously?!
What a wonderful human being that man is!  And what a way to begin our Disneyland adventure!
And I'm determined to someday go back to Disneyland and "accidentally" have a few extra tickets to give to someone other family. :)

(Entering the park)

In the next two days we hit up every ride possible and met Kenadie's favorite Disney characters.
The girls had a blast, but I probably had more fun watching them have fun.
And in true "emotional-mom" fashion, I got completely choked-up watching the Disney parade.
We are so grateful to Grandma and Papa for taking us there to spend two exhausting, sugar-filled, fun days!

And now the picture overload.....

Dumbo ride!

At California Adventure:

In "Cars Land", the BEST part of the California Adventure park!

Tarzan's tree house:

While standing in line to meet Tinkerbell's friends, Kenadie made a BFF:

Lila hugged everyone she met. :)

For those of you who don't have little girls, this is Periwinkle.  She is Tinkerbell's twin sister.

Meeting Pluto:

Waiting to meet Mickey!

The girls LOVED the carousels:

Meeting Cinderella, the highlight of the whole two days!

I could go back to Disneyland for every single family vacation.  Such great memories. :)
